Health Benefits of Acupressure & Massage:

Touch and pressure are forms of energy exchange that in and of itself are therapeutic approaches. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is not unfamiliar to many people nowadays. It has been known to have over 3500 years in medical history, from massage (tui na), acupressure, herbology, dietetics/food therapy, cupping, scrapping (guasha), moxibustion and acupuncture.

Acupressure applies the same meridian philosophy and theory in acupuncture. In an acupressure session, applied pressure is being used in place of needles. The pressure can be applied from the tip or knuckles of the fingers, palms and/or elbows. Gentle to deep pressure is applied to the pressure point on the meridian as a form of stimulation, in order to tonify/ disperse/ strengthen the energy flow of the meridians, allowing the body to attune itself and find its own balance in its own termsMeridians are known as energy channels that connect energies (internal organs, hormones, functions, etc.) throughout the body.
